Anomee ("the App") holds something deeply personal — the record of your life. We designed the App with privacy first, on the principle that your records never leave your hands. This policy explains how the App handles your information.
1Information we handle
Based on what you enter, the App handles the following information on your device:
- Your records: what you say (transcribed from speech into text) and text you type, along with AI-organized details such as a summary, mood, the people, places, and event types.
- Profile information: optional details you may enter, such as your date of birth and gender. These are used only on your device to determine life stages and to make Anomee's messages feel more natural.
- Microphone: the microphone is used when you record by voice. Audio is processed for transcription, and the App does not store or transmit the audio after transcription.
The App does not collect your name, email address, phone number, GPS location, or contacts. No account registration is required.
2Where your information is stored
Your records are stored on your iPhone (or compatible device). If iCloud sync is enabled in settings, they sync only between your own devices through your own private iCloud database provided by Apple.
This sync is handled by Apple's (iCloud) infrastructure, and the data remains under the control of your Apple account. No records are sent to any server operated by the developer (POPPO STUDIO), and the developer cannot access your records.
3Speech recognition and AI analysis
Speech-to-text transcription and AI processing — such as summarizing and analyzing your records and generating Anomee's messages — all run entirely on your device (on-device). For these purposes, the contents of your records are never sent to an external server or a third-party AI service.
4Notifications
Notifications such as reminders and "Anomee's whispers" are local notifications generated and scheduled on your device. Their contents are not transmitted externally. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings.
5Purchases (Anomee Pro)
Purchases of Anomee Pro are made through Apple's App Store (StoreKit). Payment is processed by Apple, and the developer does not receive or store payment details such as credit card numbers. Apple's privacy policy applies to the handling of purchases.
6No third-party sharing or tracking
The App does not include third-party SDKs for advertising or analytics. We do not track your activity, and we do not sell or share your information with third parties.
7Deleting your data
You can delete individual records at any time within the App. Uninstalling the App removes the data stored on your device. To delete data synced to iCloud, please use Apple's "Manage iCloud Storage" feature. Your data remains under your own control.
8Children's privacy
The App does not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 13.
9Changes to this policy
We may revise this policy as laws change or features are added. If there are significant changes, we will notify you by updating this page or through an in-app notice. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the latest revision.
